Hoy es el cumpleaños de Chester Bennington, uno de los dos vocalistas de Linkin Park, además el pasado jueves tuvo su tercer hijo, asique alegrí­a doble.

La mujer de Chester Bennington, Talinda, dió a luz el pasado jueves a un niño al que han llamado Tyler Lee. Hay que recordar que es el tercer hijo del cantante, después de Draven de su anterior matrimonio y de Jaime, fruto de su relación con Talinda. Enhorabuena por el nacimiento desde aqui!!

Hoy es el cumpleaños de Joe Hahn, DJ de Linkin Park, además de otras muchas cosas: director de cortos y próximamente pelí­cula… director de videoclips para LP y otras bandas… un fiera en general.

Rob Bourdon, baterí­a de Linkin Park, tuvo el otro dí­a una sesión de chat, de una media hora, con los integrantes del club de fans de LP.

Aquí­ tenéis algunas de las cosas que dejó caer:

” Things are going really good, we’ve been in the studio almost every day, and the album is coming along great ”

” We are experimenting with a new way of writing and we’ve been starting all of the songs in a different format then we had in the past. ”

” It’s definitely possible for the LPU to have a chance to hear some material before it’s released, if anybody hears it, it will definitely be the LPU. ”

” We have now narrowed it to 32 songs and are continuing to work to narrow it further. ”

Entre otras cosas también dijo que la canción que iban a preparar en tres dí­as al final acabó siendo un desastre, y que se van a centrar en las canciones del nuevo álbum, y después volverán a ese material.

A la pregunta sobre remixes/demos de Meteora, Rob dijo que existen, y que algún dí­a saldrán a la luz.

Hey LP Fans! it’s mike…i’m writing from a hotel in thailand right now, on tour with my fort minor project. meanwhile, i wanted to give you a little update on how the next LP album is going.

we’ve been working on new stuff for a few months at this point, and we have about 40-50 ideas. some of them are just little musical phrases, some are full blown songs with vocals. all are very exciting.

as many of you know, we’ll be working with producer rick rubin on the next album. we were looking for someone with experience in diverse musical styles, whose music taste is as diverse as ours. seeing that rick has produced albums for groups like red hot chili peppers, slayer, beastie boys, neil diamond, jay-z, system of a down, and johnny cash, i think it’s safe to say that he’s pretty versatile. the other guys have put me in charge of production on our end, so you’ll see that the production credit on the next record will read “rick rubin and mike shinoda.” i have to thank the guys in a huge way for trusting me with this honor and challenge–we’re going to make a great record. as for the sound of it, i think you will recognize our style and personality in the sound, but we definitely want to step outside the box and make something new and different. we have been challenging ourselves to do something that will keep all the things we/you like about linkin park, and then add new sounds and styles that you’ve never heard from us.

as for me, i’m writing as i travel and tour with fort minor, on the plane and in hotel rooms. i have been putting my ideas down on paper, laptop, and even in my phone! the fort minor shows have been amazing, and all the fans have been phenomenal, as usual :) i think the next FM single is going to be “where’d you go,” and it’s starting to pop up here and there…thanks for being behind it. all of the guys from styles of beyond, with the rest of our band, are seeing asia and australia for the first time on this tour, and they couldn’t have asked for a better first experience.

anyway, i gotta go eat breakfast. thanks again for the support!
